Giles Davis is a vocalist, musician, and producer originally from Scranton, PA. He has spent over a decade playing, producing, and exploring music over a broad range of genres. He has produced projects for The Food Network, Cantor Wayne Siet, and others. Never a fan of neat-fitting labels or pigeonholing music into narrow definitions, Giles' music blurs lines and bends styles into a unique sound. He has played on and produced projects in pop, rock, reggae, country, jazz, blues, classical, electronica, r&b, and more. In 1996, he released his first solo CD, The Advantages of Union, on Green Water Records (now available from Song of Songs Music). On September 3, 2001, Giles had the honor of performing with Bruce Springsteen! Giles' versatility extends to instrumentation as well. He plays saxophone, keyboards, guitar, drums, bass, flute, clarinet, mandolin, accordion, vibes, melodica, wind controller, and harmonica. Giles lives with his wife, Jennifer, in Monmouth Junction, NJ.
"Davis is a wizard
not only on keyboards, but on sax and an electronic wind instrument as well"
- Mark Bialczak - The Post Standard,
Syracuse, NY
"I'm gonna sit
back right easy and laugh when Scooter and Giles bust this city in half."
- Bruce
Springsteen during 10th Ave Freeze-Out - Sept. 3, 2001
"Giles Davis is
a versatile weapon. Playing sax, keys, mandolin , flute, singing. Often in the
SAME SONG!!"
- Tom Flannery - The Electric
City, Scranton, PA
"Area hero Giles
Davis is one of the most sought after live and session players in the music
market."
- Joe Lemongelli - Soundcheck
